Can death be a fleeting instant
When it’s passing fails to pass
A shadow forever dogging
Our steps
As a stone stuck in a shoe
The recipient forever
Limping from the loss of love
When you see me limp
Will you recognise my loss
Or will you think that I have
Tripped and fallen
A klutz that should have been more careful.
I wonder if I could have avoided my fall
When doing so would have denied
You yours.
And I shall never walk away
From that.
