The invisible letter.
Today you told me
Your husband is your memory
He carries the weight of your
Medical appointments in his mind.
You look at others
Carrying folders filled with notes
And letters
And you said: how can they bear the weight
Each time you came to hospital
You saw a different view
Your husband had no filter
He could carry your letters
For you were already burdened enough
Your steps have become heavy now
Your arms can barely lift your hands
You watch through calm eyes
Gravity has been redefined by illness
You can release your burden now,
Your husband can too
If only he knows how.
